Description

This is high up atop a country hillside here at home...It is beautiful this time of year... I haven't been feeling too well...not been online much...I also had to get a new e mail account so those of you who have it here please send me an e mail so I can add you back into my contacts.... I also thought I would write this poem to go along with the image...I hope you like it...it's been awhile since I have written a poem...Have tried to get a hold of my cousin Carolyn she has been in the bed with a fever of 102....She has not been doing well since the death of her husband Lowell.....My husbands brother also has found out his cancer has returned...it is now spread to his brain...they have given him maybe 6 mos to live..so far so good with me and the new chemo pill they have put me on...I haven't been sick since I started taking it......thank heavens for small favors......I adjusted hue and saturation...One step fix...sharpened the image added borders,frame and text..All post work done in PSP9...I have a few small fall images not a lot though.......Thank you for your comments and favs...It is most appreciated...I hope you all have a wonderful night......and a good day tomorrow.. Autumn The glory of autumn colors, Is around us everywhere Especially now in October, And there's a chill in the air A soft haze over the meadow The sumac is flaming red Along the fence beside the road The goldenrods nod their heads Maple and oak are blooming in colors of every hue From gold to red to crimson Against a sky of a deepest blue This is nature's grand finale As summer comes to an end The curtains will soon drop And winter will soon descend Written October 9th 2011

Excellent photo. The colors are wonderful. As I look at this, we are getting ready to go out to see if the trees are really starting to change here in Western PA. I'm hoping so. Glad to hear that the new chemo pill is working better for you. Thanks for sharing your poem as well.

A wonderful autumn capture that has a beautiful look as if it has been painted with its glorious colours. How lovely to have this close to you. Your poem is very well composed and gives a real picture of autumn. I hope you do more of them as you are really talented. I am glad to hear that your chemo pill is making things easier for you too with not being sick but I hope you can manage to keep your pain to a minimum too. Hugs.

This is so pretty Susan, and I love the poem as well. I am not sure exactly what you meant by the new system I did notice a notification area near our site mail and I still get some but not all alerts so I guess that is what you meant, I say leave well enough alone, you know if it works don't fix it but oh well they got to keep up with the times I guess. I used a wall phone for the first time in ages recently that felt odd but yet good, I miss regular phones ones that you can slam down when you are really ticked off haha Have a great fall day..

That is really a gorgeous image. I take it this is west Texas hill country. I have been through it but only in summer, so I did not get to see these colors. I am glad to read that your new chemo pill is working and is not causing such bad side effects. Keep the faith.
