Sorry to hear about how upset you are Rene, and I couldn't agree with you more. I much prefer the email notifications also

I wonder today why I am getting no emails. I am asking 1&1 because I managed my domain yesterday and thought all my emails are lost. I found the reason why and it was because of the change of site notifications. I am the opinion that everyone should choose if he/she want to get email notifications.

Im not really following you but that is because my english is not perfect =) Im sorry that you are upset and i have seen that i has been changes made. I still got emails from rendo AND the other thing =)

I wrote a rant to rendo on the homepage, I doubt they will listen but we have to try. I would rather see the ebots come back but if that isnt possible if they could at least put a delete button on the site notification list it would be easier to keep track of which ones you actioned. There still would be no way of reading what someone said that favored one of my images though. As of yesterday my comments dropped in 1/2, that is because no one knows I uploaded anything.

I did not know that they were stopping ebots all together oh well more changes i think i wont be here much longer either.

What now! This is not good. This is where I interact with my artist friends.

I come here daily (at least once a day when I am well) to see what has been posted by people I consider friends. I don't make friends in the outside world and rarely interact with anyone other than here at Rendo. I am troubled to see that so many are unhappy and might leave here. I too feel a loss when confronted with forced change, both online and in the world outside... the world has changed and is moving on. Life isn't what is was when I was a younger man, and that is both frightening and sad. We are left with so few things that bring even a small amount of joy that we grasp onto those that are left as if straws clutched in the hands of a drowning person... too many things are ripped from us all without consideration of what we want. We have become merely a consumer or a commodity to be sold and traded at the slightest whim of those in control that we feel hopeless and helpless... sheep. The quiet revolution has begun in cities all over the US and around the planet, maybe it should be that revolution that changes the online world as well.?

I wonder if its a good idea to tell them you are leaving but your money is staying. I'd like to have a few house guests like that. Lol. I think these things may resolve themselves in time when they see what works & what doesn't. It seems like RO has been taken over by business only minded people. It can not possibly stay as popular & keep its artists the way its going now, so they will have to learn to swim a bit, or just give in and sink. Give them a bit of time to get used to it themselves. If they are smart, they will learn to bend, too. ;)

Well, I came, I saw, I read. THAT explains why I got that "Daily Digest" thing in my e-mail!! Not sure how that's going to work, but I think I preferred immediate notification of an artist's work as it was a prompt to head over and check it. Plus it enabled things to be monitored as and when they were uploaded. For those that comment on a LOT of other artist's work I think getting presented with a sudden list that's as long as your leg will seem like a daily chore. But hey-ho, I'm already hardly on here anyway so... shrug Yo, Rene! If you decide to boogie off to a different site then give me a shout so I can join you there :)

As I post this it says their is 6,741 members currently on line...If so many are actually members then they won't miss 100 or so that actually come here on a daily basis to enjoy each others art and comment...Sounds like they are pulling a Net Flix here and will suffer the same results as we all jump ship and find another art site that actually care about their members/customers instead of trying to drive us away as it seems they are trying to do here in my opinion... I myself won't leave a message on the front page as I have in the past because I wasn't given the time of day then no more then they will give me now...All the screaming in the world don't make dents when they have their hearing aid turned off.... Well at least I still have my own website which a few of you folks here have joined and if this continues then I guess I'll just post my work their and hope the ones that really care about what I do come their to see my latest work....Hope it doesn't have to come to that but all these continuing changes here at Rendo are really starting to chafe my ass...It's like they really don't give a crap and are only wanting a selected group here and the rest can go to.....(sigh)...

Today was the first day I did not received any regular emails about people's render posts....Thought this was strange. Came here and saw this.. What r they trying to do??? Daily digest email. Got that too. So now we have to go to rendo site to view latest posted images??? Don't like that...

Oh verflixt. Gerade habe ich mich über die neue Benachrichtigungsart gefreut, weil dadurch meine Postfächer nicht so schnell überquellen. Aber es ist natürlich schade, wenn es keine Wahlmöglichkeit gibt. Ich hoffe, du läßt dich trotz aller Widrigkeiten nicht vertreiben, René :)) Rero (und alle anderen auch) ändern dauernd was. Oft quält es einen ziemlich und man fragt sich, warum tun wir uns das alles eigentlich noch an. Aber am Ende läuft es darauf hinaus: Mag mal wieder neuer Schnick-Schnack wuchern, die Menschen hier sind immer noch die gleichen. Und im schlimmsten Fall können wir ja immer noch zu Chas abwandern ;) Short translation: Sorry. I just said, I liked the new ebot-system, because it's easier for my mail box. But please don't let them drive you away, René. May the systems change, we the people are still the same. And in any case, we still can immigrate to Chas ;)

Nice work with these great looking bikes I think you failed to mention where you got then from which is a bit unlike you or maybe something is eating at you. Notification:- Another system that`s been forced upon people with out consideration or thought this is clearly evident by the fact that they have today given you an summary notification after so many complaints. If they are capable of making changes on a large scale why cant they sort the little problems like the highlighting of the page numbering, which they created in there last change! Sadly more blues and unhappy customers!

at ñeast give us a checkbox where we can mark all the mails and notifications we went through already.i mentionned there are elder people here who cant cope with this, ute has her problems already and i apologise to our friends already for not visiting everyone. i am really p..off. and the daily digest does not helps at all.

Yeh, I like the old ebots better. Maybe Savage_Dragon is right and they will give the option to have the old ebots back eventually. But then again, they may not. But hey, Rene and Ute, keep me posted on what you decide. Jeezuz bro, at our age, good friends are getting harder to find.

Well I too am upset at the new system of notification and I have to say I think the changes are for the worse for me, and yes they send you a daily digest mine said 2011-10-10 Notifications Summary for bazza 56 Fav Artist Uploads 1 Fav Images 2 Image Comments of the 56 there was only 25 listed at the bottom there is a link that says View More Notifications which takes one to the silly notification page on rendo.. I have a system for viewing my emails from here.. I usually view any of the notices that say someone has favoured my image and if people leave a comment on there I save that one and delete the others. Then read the one that says people commented on my work and then go see whats been said.. Then I view certain ones that I don't comment on for various reasons or comment little, then ones I comment on all the time and lastly ones that I may want to do a translation of language on.. The good thing was I could see them all, open and go back.. that email would be colour changes to tell me I have read it.. I could delete them as I liked.. Now I open one go back and a pile are missing and I have to click the view older till I find them again.. I then have no way of systemically viewing and getting rid of the ones I have read as I use to. Does this system allow us to see comments when someone makes one when favouring them and allowing us to keep this comment?? I can't see how this would work with this system.. What if you are on holiday or in hospital for two or three weeks with no internet connection? The notification only stays for one week then deletes the older ones from the system.. at least with email I can go back for months if necessary. I am not impressed with this system and like you I will not be posting my Art.. Maybe one more to explain to people why I aren't, and if gifted something will post for that vendors sake. ( I guess I loss that to as if not posting on here I will not get gifts lol) I will not be buying product from here again as a protest, and the ones who miss out are the vendors not rendo, my commenting may not happen because of this system and I apologize to my friends in advance. I know it is no skin of their nose if I post or don't post and in a way I guess they win in the end as less traffic means less they to pay for... Well Rene I do hope you stick to your guns on this one we all need to, ESPECIALLY THE VENDORS on here who will loose out in the end..

I agree with what you say! I do not buy what I need because I m given by nature, but this new setting of the site I do not like, I do not have to do races and delete any message for me was much faster Digest (among other things, with 7 hours delay from the normal), tonight they are still grappling with the comments of the previous day, all day I thought I had a problem. Before it was fun, so it becomes a job. If I have to waste time prferisco lose the fields. That said, beautiful image, dear Rene!
