UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

You know, I never really stopped to look at the outside! This is fun to see. I like the stripes and patterns the light forms on the ridges of the silos. I'll leave the corny jokes for others, having worn out as many as I can think of already! LOL!

We are actually thinking of doing this for part of the new place as a guest house and another attached to the woodshop as a art studio... I love it!

Wonderful place Bill! I know that car - I was chaffeured in that car!!! Looks like the kind of place I will also enjoy. Sorry - fresh out of corny jokes - way too tired!

Oh, my! I had to look twice in order to grasp what I was seeing! The camera angle does a bit of "hide and go seek" with the architecture. I was expecting to see corn tumbling out. What a cool and original idea this is! I'd love to see it in real life. The light from the setting sun really adds some magic to the scene. This photo is a dead-on great one! Good work! :-)

I love this. The idea of it ranks right up there with my other favorite ideas: an abandoned bomber in a field, now serving as a night-club, another huge plane serving as...well...a hotel...and now silo accommodation. I'd say something corny or grain related, but alas, my mind is drawing a blank. I really like this photo, though, especially with that warm light peeking out of a window in the last place I'd expect to see a window! This is super!

The narrative is on target! Not the kind of silo I would imagine using for a motel but what the hay!

I like how the evening's reddish glow is amplified by the light in the window. I hope one of you got a good shot of that very recourcefully thought out bathtub. : )

Dang - I must have missed this during the Great Ebot Debacle.... Now, that is just waaaay too cool! It would be well worth the trip just to stay here - that is sooo neat! Darn it - I'm so exhausted from this #%^%#$#$@ job, I can't even come up with any corny wisecracks :-P I'm only firing on 2 cylenders at the moment...
