Description
The market had many items that would appeal to tourists. The weavers of Sumatra are amazing artists. I took home my share of souvenirs, not only because I liked what I saw but also because the sales techniques of the local people were so persuasive. And yes, regarding the image below, I bought it all.

What an outfit. It's the epitome of elegance, but then anything you can wrap is pretty elegant as it conforms to the human body more and actually allows a more natural range of human movement...and look at the colors! WOW! This is a great bit of (self?) portrait work! Really nice.

WOW ...cool business style!! Every dealer should adorn themselves with his goods. Oh, now I imagine just the fruit and vegetable handlers before ...." two oranges in her hair and banana on the hips ... "a la Mata Hari

Still life! LOL! Wonderful! I'd be doing the same, especially that piece you have over your shoulder. That's gorgeous! I love the patterns and the dark background and bright colors. I'm also a sucker for persuasive sales techniques, particularly when I'm on holiday. Great portrait!

Rather dashing! I don't know could catch on. It certainly beats my Bimini sweatshirt. :) What fun! How many times have you worn it since then?
