The world’s mythologies are a treasure trove of secrets woven out of the events of the past, passed down and altered over time. Names change. Genders change. Their stories are quite human. The things that happen to them are human-like…they simply take place in different realms. They are the tales that were told around campfires, on holy-days and in ancient texts. I like to capture some of their spirit in my art, if I can.
SRG or Sidhe Rose Graphics brings you beings from the realm of fantasy: faerie-folk, warriors of old, vampires, werewolves and other shape-shifters, angels, demons, witches, and mages both dark and light. We specialize in them! Of course, they can appear as perfectly normal everyday people, if you like. It's up to you. They will be coming soon to the Renderosity Market Place, so stay tuned!

Hmmm, seems fitting a ruler of the Underworld is also the patron of lawyers (LOL) Great close up and excellent lighting. He looks like he could be quite charming. I find myth and comparitive religion quite fascinating. If people understood the origins, maybe we'd all get along better. I'm a big believer that our civilization is much older than modern scientist/archaeologists have taught. With so many ruins being found far off coasts, it seems obvious that things were constructed before the last glacial maximum finished melting. But what do I know, I don't have a Phd and I like watching episodes of Ancient Aliens ;)

A very sympathetic portrait of a much misunderstood diety. Of course when you've only got one God in your pantheon your only choice is to toss the others out as "the devil's" work.

Ah, kindred souls! How nice to find another lover of the old myths and legends. I'm loving your version of old Nergal, and your sense of humor. Nice work!

Isn't it strange how so many mythological legends are now part and parcel to the devil? In the bible itself it says that Lucifer alone is the devil so I've no idea why these ideologies persist... Tis the reaosn why I call the creature in my tale Death-Tahnos and not Hades (in an effort to reduce confusion). Well, two reasons. Thanatos is the true god of death in Greek Mythology--Hades was simply aLord or Overseer. I put Thanatos in his place then adopted the alter name Thanos. Thanatos was said to be very beautiful--the twin brother of Hypnos, god of sleep, making Morpheus his nephew. Later on Thanatos was attributed to, of all things, the Grim Reaper as imaged today... How these concepts evolve is anyone's guess I suppose. But that said, I love, love love your sexy "devil". A right on render--and the eyes are PERFECT! Smouldering with just the right hint of something one dare not wander towards...
