Le Cochevis huppé (Galerida cristata) est une grosse alouette, de silhouette ronde et trappue. Sa livrée aux teintes terreuses lui offre une bonne homochromie avec son milieu environnant.Ces oiseaux sont omniprésents sur l’île de Lesbos

The Crested Lark, Galerida cristata, breeds across most of temperate Eurasia from Portugal to northeast China and eastern India, and in Africa south to Niger. In Lesbos, we saw these larks everywhere !

Great picture. He seems to wear reading glasses.I wonder if there is someone like a ornithophthalmologist LOL. Now seriously, I love the bird, the color, the depth of field and the contrast between the hardness of the wood and the wire with the softness of the feathers.
