Back to the story: Domna had just stepped outside to call Celus in for supper, when she spied a young girl and a huge dog coming up from the road. She was an odd looking girl. She looked to be from the Orient, but as she came closer, Domna saw that she had blue eyes and a reddish cast to her hair. "You're a long way from anywhere," she said. "What brings you here, child?" The girl bowed her head. "Please lady, do you have need of very hard working servant?" She was skin and bones and looked exhausted. "I work very hard. Honest." "What is your name?" Domna asked if she could pet the dog. "Do it slow and is alright. I am Shu-shu," she smiled - still with her head bowed. She extended her arm to the dog. "This is Koji, my friend. I cook. I do laundry for lady. I work in barn, in yard. Please." The last pleading. "I need work and place to stay. I stay in barn, if you wish. I love the animals." Her Phoenician was passibly good. "Why don't you come in Shu-shu and eat with us? You look like you could use a good meal. We'll get to know you and you can get to know us. Alright?" Domna motioned her toward the house and called out to Celus. "Go on now, Shu-shu. Koji can come in with you, if he behaves himself." "He is good, smart dog - my protector and my hunter! Thank you, my lady!" "Go in the door there and turn right. I think Azdrubaal is already at the table. You tell him I told you that you could come in." Domna called for Celus again. He must be down over the hill, she thought. "I have to find Celus. Go on now!" she smiled. She watched Shu-shu enter the house furtively and go inside. She'd seen her too in her vision...going in the house just like that. Sometimes her 'gift' even gave her the chills. There were more things. Things she didn't want to think about. ***** Background made by me in VUE. Shu-shu is Miki3 and Koji is a Millineum Dog figure - which isn't near as good as the MilHorse. While I like some of Miki's face morphs, I find her very odd compared to other figures I've worked with. Domna's dress is from DAZ - HMG "Amal My Protector" set which requires "Moroccan Dreams" as a base.
