The vampires of Darklight aren't like normal vampires. They're not just undead; they are, in truth, converted succubi. They possess both the supernatural powers of the demons, the charm of the succubus, and the powers of the night granted to vampires. Fortunately, whereas certain spells would be ineffective against a normal succubus, their undead status makes them vulnerable to spells such as Disrupt Undead. Holy magic then becomes doubly dangerous to them. The very nature of Darklight, however, prevents any sun based spells from working.

Fortunately, with the powers of the Silver Gryphon Legacy engaged in the massive battle on the Grave Planes, Nocticula was distracted. We were able to penetrate all the way into Her inner lair before She became aware of us. With complete protection from any kind of charm given us by the Armband of Khoja, the few Darklight vampires we'd encountered in Castle Wargstein were no real challenge. The crypts, the catacombs beneath the castle,... that was another matter entirely.
