Description

Over the black cyanide soot of the lower atmosphere they float, riding on the clear upper currents to their new home. Below, the local vegetations burns itself off as part of its natural cycle of life, blocking out sunlight for anything on the surface. In the distance, 10 mile high plants, composed of organic diamond thrust into the stratosphere, too large to be in danger from the ground shrub burning. 43 light years distance, a new gateway has been activated at Upsilon Andromedae. For the lucky cyborgs, a new world awaits them, one free from the 'normals' that remain back on earth. A place with freedom from the dark nuclear winds of home. Already, great cities are being built on the tallest mountain tops, and towns glitter in the branches of those huge diamond trees. A new world awaits the brave.
