Description

...those two small machines crawling up the surface of the mountain of tailings at the Cresson Surface Gold Mine in Victor, Colorado are actually two huge, full-tracked bulldozers. ...the October Monthly Challenge is a "Sense of Scale"...I better get over there and join in the fun. Here's a link if you haven't been there yet: Click Here. Bill:) "Seventy Six Years Old" thumb_2259126.jpg

Definitely gives one a sense of scale and depth - great shot, Bill! When I was a kid, every time we drove past a hill like that I used to tell my mom and dad "I could run up that hill in 15 minutes!" Now, it takes me 15 minutes to even think about working up the energy to get out of the car! LOL! The scale and distances involved in scenes like this can boggle the mind.

I've meet a fellow student in my photo classes who has become somewhat of an expert at photographing mines, of all things and he is making quite a name and business at it too. This is beautiful nice clarity.
