Description
From all the tales I've heard and all the videos that I've seen and the number or first hand sightings that I've personally had, these aircraft may be made for killing, but initially man just wanted to fly like the birds. So...it only stands to reason that any chance they have, a lot of pilots will play and goof around with their very expensive "loaner". I'm sure most here will vouch for that. It seemed sort of quiet here lately so I thought I'd get some adrenaline rushing....
Bf109: Neiwil...free...but what a model! Thanks Neil.
Pilot: I did this a while ago, so I forgot the stats, but I think his name is Willem.
The wicked triumvirate: Poser, Vue 6 Inf, and PSD Cs3

Excellent...the dust "kicked up" is a great touch...and you're right didn't matter which side they were on, the pilots just loved to fly!!!

So thats why they put "tropical" filters on those Desert 109s...I always wondered where the "Sandsturm" in the "Rats of Tobruk" movie came from. Excellent scene!

gorgeous image, bud! my 1st wife's father flew P-51s out of North Africa into Italy, and on the way back, they would try to kill rabbits with the Mustang's belly air scoop.... the crazy brave!!

Why fly in a car at 120 mph (I've done faster) when you can do 3,4,5,or even 600 knots on the "deck"? Simple question. simple answer! "Because you can!!" Nice job!

True, true, true...learned to fly Piper Cherokees out of Monterey, CA in the 60s. The ocean was nearby...I've had my fast and low moments over water. Today I think...catch a wheel (fixed landing gear) and I'd have been in the drink, then I didn't concern myself with such life and death details:) We have a beautifully restored P-51B here in the Historic Flight Foundation's collection at Paine Field, WA that "bought the farm" so to speak in 1945 on a training mission when the pilot was flying low and plugged his airscoop with hay from a haystack...he pulled up to 1000' and bailed out safely. The airplane came down in an English beet field. In 2002 it was recovered and completely restored. As for your render...beautiful job. I like the thought you put into each of your pictures...the kicked up sand here is a fine added detail.
