Description

Happy Birthday my friend! ...Rod, you think you've got it all...a big job, a fine house, a loving wife, your own lair, a butt load of computers and more terabytes of storage than the law should allow...so, I was stumped for at least a minute and a half about what I could send you. ...well here it is. Your own gold mine in Victor, Colorado. It's a fixer-upper, but with the shop full of tools in your basement you ought to be able to have this baby up and running in no time. ...I'll give the Girls from TNA a call and see if they'll drop by to lend a hand. You never know 'til you ask;-) Bill:) Added some hours after initial posting: Rod, do you remember the country singer and guitar picker, Jerry Reed? He sang a song that kinda goes with this...Here's a link for it.

What a stunning shot Bill. Again we don't really have much like this in the UK. A real reminder of yesteryear.

LOL!! MINE! MINE! It's all MINE! Muahahahaha.... Hey, a little paint, a bit of TLC, and with all the gold I'm sure to dig out of them thar' hills, this should make quite the party place! :-D I might even be able to afford that Boxx render farm I've been wanting for the Girls! LOL! This is just too cool, Bill! I could spend a few hours filling up flash cards here, myself! Great shot of this historic mine! Thank you so much, Bill! Now, where's my shovel..... lots of work to do... :-D

Just so cool! A beauty all its own. And, how much gold can be still hidden under the ground? Not to mention small bits missed in the rock piles outdoors? It looks like a small operation. When was it started? What is its history? It piques my curiosity! Keep up the good work! :-)

What a shot and what a gift! WOW! There is so much to see in this and I find that my eye just wanders around, finds a cool texture, a cool color, or an interesting shadow. This is most definitely a place to explore and even better that it's in a place called Victor!. I'll have to let a particular Russian know that there's a town named after him in Colorado. Of course I'll also have to explain where Colorado is and then answer a massive load of questions about the state. But anyway...what a shot! I love the POV as well, as it gives a great sense of scale. This rocks and I'm sure Rod can find really cool uses for it. I rather like the gantry structure on the left. I'm sure that can be modified for something interesting!
