UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

WOW! This is a cool, nicely self referential shot, well...in a way...I didn't take the picture so there's no real self-reference in it. Oh well...it's a great shot and I love the way in which I appear mostly in silhouette. I like the buildings outside of the window as well...they bring the whole shot together due to their Gothic architectual inclinations, which play well with the flagrantly fancy baroque interior of this building and me being decidedly non-baroque, though I can approach rococo when I need a haircut. I love the colors in this as well as all of the exciting shapes and curvy bits. That was a fantastic day and repeats are always welcome. I distinctly remember diet coke and pecan sandies a bit later, and lots and lots of talking about everything with oddly Soviet music on YouTube before switching to Patti Smith and Flip Wilson! Ah, that was a brilliant day!

Great to put Chip's pic in context, and this a such a fascinating photo, with so much to see. It is good to realise that sometimes there is a little airspace between those towering buildings!

Oooooohh! I have a picture of the outside of those windows with the clock tower reflecting. :D When we get home I'll have to work one of them up. This is great! It's exciting that you had a picture of Chip taking that picture. Nicely done!

Odd, I could swear I posted a comment on this yesterday, what now are they removing our comments, Nice work, great to see Chip having fun with his camera, what its all about after all.

I was about to comment on Chip's picture and saw your link. What fun! It's great to see it in context and to see Chip in the process. I guess the triangular dark brown bit in his image is triangular because of the shape of the dome. I like that dark triangle. Excellent shot! I love the vertical lines including those of the buildings outside and of Chip. (He makes a nice vertical line. I'd be more like the shape on a billboard in one of his recent posts.) Beautiful composition, color, and detail.
