Description
Thought i would share the process on this one, in case anyones interested.
The background is a render made in Mojoworld. Saved as two layers, png and bmp, merged in CS5, no postwork.
The model is rendered in Daz, then saved as a wavefront obj ( poser units).
I opened a 2d plane in Bryce ( 7Pro)and imported the mojo render onto the plane, scaled to suit the image size i wanted.(An atmosphere was chosen to match the image light and colours).
I then imported the obj model and posed as required...moved the sun around until it gave the best light....rendered as fine art( oh and i smoothed the model prior to render).
The render was again saved as png and bmp, opened in CS5, merged onto one layer then some vapour trails added...and hey presto, the above render is the result...sounds easy, LOL, the only fiddly bit is to get the plane in the right position and placing the model so no shadows fall onto the plane....
Hope this is useful..sorry to post so many this weekend
Have a safe week
Cheers, as always best in zoom

I'm speechless Ian!Your "How to make" explanations are great but I can't understand some details sorry! How can you saved a "render" as a"Wavefront.obj"??.obj is a "3d" format isn't it?and any render is a "2d"!!Forgive me I'm confused a bit, couple of hours ago a great earthquake happens in one of our country's east cities may be 500 or 1000 people could be death!!I'm very sorry for this and I'm depressed, because of this,my mind is not clear enough, sorry my friend!!But as always you are create magnificent scenes, congrats to you!:-)

I really have to study how to do this "layers" thing as I have so far failed miserably to achieve anything with it. An exceptional render.

Looks good. Quite a complex procedure but you have trained yourself well. I have exported Daz to Vue but only use Bryce as backgrounds.

Stunning work. Quite a process to go through. Outstanding results. Very realistic and the lighting matches all the way through. So, I have to ask, do you prefer terrains made in Mojoworld to Bryce? Is Mojoworld easier or more realistic in your opinion. Also, Vue has alpha planes too, but you can change settings so they do not cast shadows or receive them. In fact there's about ten choices with which the alpha plane can interract with the environment. I'm wondering if Bryce has such options for their 2D planes. I can see the appeal of having all the elements separate and combining them to your taste in PhotoShop. Very interesting.
