Description

March 26th 2010, was a fun day. I left work early to eat lunch with a group of very cool ladies. Having the afternoon free, I had mapped out a route to go wildflower hunting after lunch. I gave a ride home to one of the ladies, and she told me of a great patch of bluebonnets near her home. It was a good omen for my day, surrounded by bluebonnets, and I hadn't left the city limits yet! Thanks for viewing and for previous comments and favs!

Fantastic looking capture Lucinda, they really are something special. Like the pov you chose to go with here, and the colors really stand out. It is rare that we have those days we enjoy so much as the one you mentionen.

Awesome shot. State flower of Texas and very dear to my heart. :-) The last time I took pictures of bluebonnets in Texas I found myself surrounded by fire ants...I was so intent on getting the shot, I didn't notice until it was too late that I was standing in an ant pile!!! This really has a great composition and excellent color retention.

Great light is on the bluebonnets, and its like they are dancing in it. A fantastic and joyfully picture it makes. Thanks for sharing this beauty, Lucinda, I've never seen them before, and I'm wondering if they also have a smell. Superb to hear you had such a lovely day!

March 26th 2010, was a fun day? What a memory. I can't even remember what happened two days ago! But I digress. Stellar focus in this pic to pop out these lovely flowers amidst all the surrounding flora shouting for attention, Lucinda.

The contrast of the green and blue is just divine, how kind the lady was and so are you - one good deed deserves another, when there is so much happiness in finding natures little treasures ... BB

I am taken by the thought of one of the classic Impressionist painters hiking to this field with canvas and oils in tow. Pitching their wares and taking this fine afternoon to use these flowers as there subjects. The blue is quite striking set above the pastel-like greens.
