Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Oh, I'd most-definitely linger! And what a shot! This has all of the Marilyn stuff I love so much: life and color! So many details (and camera things) to enjoy! This is really super and it has the feeling of just wandering around, not being lost, but wandering in that way that I like to call "Walking Meditation." I particularly like the dominance of primary colors surrounded largely by darkness; it combines to make a particularly appealing pop. This is most excellent!

Linger, hell! I'd camped out there, trying out every camera in the store...Oh to be there with, oh say, $75,000 or a blank check... it is nice to dream Great shot

It seems to have the ambiance of a camera store in the 60s. How different the merchandise is now!

I hve to pass a window of second-hand cameras every time I go to the local shops, and this week I gave in and bought the next model up from my Tizzys!

Way back in the dark ages I remember traveling Market St in SF and seeing store after store like this - one had cameras, the next electronics, the next watches and jewelry and on and on for several blows. This is a great shot.

I could do so much damage to the world economy in one of those places... what a great capture!

Now. all you have to do is find a store like that that will take your money for the camera you've been hunting for:) Well done.
