Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

So well seen and captured! I love the foreground plants. For some reason I'm thinking of the ladies from Absolutely Fabulous...Patsy and Edina, enjoying an early afternoon liquid lunch and then shopping for all sorts of gorgeous things. Hmmm...I think it's time to catch up on Ab Fab, and this shot does put me in the mind to go and shop and enjoy delicious nibbly things for lunch. This is great.

Hmmmm....Breakfast at Tiffany's sounds good ;) Aloha

Great shot... Like the flax sort of foreground plant as a silhouette..

Fantastic! You did a great job with the foreground. I love the peeking-through-the-bushes thing. Nicely done!

For an innovative company renown for high end, artistic work, this building is a disappointment. Where's the pizzaz? As for your finding and photographing this place and your title...well done:)

I'm with Bill. You'd think they would have a fancier and larger building. Including the foreground foliage was inspired.

Great compo, but I would have hoped for something more Art Nouveau!

I like this shot through the trees and plants.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. Now I'm expecting Holy Golightly to totter into the foreground and crash headlong into the plants while crooning 'Moooooooooooooooooooooooooon Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiivvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrr!" Or perhaps I've had too much cold medicine. Anyway, I like this shot and the James Bond through the plants view. As for the building, I believe they call this look "understated elegance", in this case apparently understated to the point of banality. Great shot.
