When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was a Hurricane landing on a carrier. Old eyes... sigh. I like the image, though.

Oops, I think I made a comment but can't recall what I said:-) Anyway I like this very much...early morning is a fine time to fly...unless somebody is shooting back at you.

Ah, another beautiful image - up, up and away! Early morning, or early evening? But, what awaits them one airborne? Beautiful job, Neil. Well space, some already raising their landing gear. Beautiful sky, good ground texture. The hangar looks a bit modern, but it doesn't mar the image. I can just feel the chill in the air and the tension, rush of adrenaline and the knot in the stomach - will they make it home OK? Keep up the good work! :-) PS-when the first post was removed, I was wondering if the image was a massacre at Froggy's site (Sexotic Island) and removed by some over-sensitive (im)moderator! Ha, ha!

Still looks great all the same. The varied landing gear adds realism too.

"Up and at em". BTW to everyone that read my post.............it wasn't intended as a critism. Neil does neat stuff. Nuff said.

Ah... some "Material Girls" primed to give Fritz a head-ache! The cloud shadows on the distant hillside makes it so wonderfully agricultural. Seems you can scramble Hurricanes just about anywhere... I'd love to see an F22 Raptor try to repeat the trick without totalling itself.... Ah, the good old days...

Great work... Mild panic when I clicked on your first Dawn Patrol and found it deleted! Thought you'd left us again.. Glad to see this excellent picture and you have not! Rob
