UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Fantastic capture Bill. It almost looks like a hand and/or foot with fingers/toes.

Beautiful shot of them! Just went through that general area, but didn't have time to stray off I-84, so glad to see them here.

Excellent clarity and color tones in this capture of what looks like the rear part of a multilegged creature from a long ago era, Bill.

Must have took a big bucket of paint :-) Fossil Beds, so are they dinosaur prints half way up ? maybe T-Rex's ancestors... A quite remarkable sight, I'm lost for words (sensible one's at least)..any wider angles on this?

When I was a child and actually played with Star Wars action figures, I was always making strange new worlds for them to explore (I'd changed their names and roles in whatever dramas I was making up and so Luke Skywalker wasn't Luke Skywalker, but some other guy, etc.) Such worlds were, invariably, made out of sofa cushions, blankets, and quilts (it's amazing how a quilt or bed-spread looks so much like rugged land, and couch cushions make excellent alien temple ruins!) But anyway, I digress...but not as much as one might think. I looked at this image, full sized, and in thumbnail, and thought what a nice clumped blanket this was, and how marvelous that it wasn't a clumped floral print covering! I'm weird like that. And then I realized, that it's actually a fossilized bed covering, and that there might be a lost action figure underneath it. Okay...maybe not. At any rate, this is a brilliant and evocative photograph and I love the whole alien vibe it has. Great sense of scale and color and an unexpected, and unusual smoothness of that rock. It reminds me of flow-stone: the kind you find in deep, deep, scarcely-explored subterranean cave systems. This is excellent.

Oh gosh, honey. If I got anything half so good as this, I'll be thrilled! This is absolutely fabulous. It's so difficult to capture the actual colors, and you did a spectacular job of it.
