Description
We encountered this Pelican (Pacific Brown Pelican, I think), while walking on the Redondo Beach Pier. I was so excited when this bird took flight right in front of me. I was able to snap about 4 shots, and this was the most focused and best composed of them.
My previous upload, "The Power of Fun".
We are having a cold, rainy weekend here in Sunny Southern California ;) I had to dig out my sweats and flannels...brrrr. lol. The local mountains even had some snow.

What a shot and I love the way you framed it. It's not hard to get me to like a pelican. I rather like those feathered, winged people! They're so...well...pelicanish. I love the sight of this one in flight and it's perfectly captured. Wonderful capture of water droplets. I like the overall composition and vibe of this photo. Really great work.

This turned out excellent Melinda! So SHARP! I didn't realize there are so many different types of Pelicans! We just have the white ones here ------- I think! :-/
