Lichens are among my favorite lichenous life forms on the planet! The colors here are absolutely stunning. I love the sunset hues and the nicely contrasty blue in the background. Brilliantly seen. I think there are actually two lichen species there, I see a kind of greenish gray one, that's my favorite because it has those spore cups that are always full and they're very alien looking...lichen with attitude as I call them. This is so brilliantly seen, so gorgeous! I love it.
