My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Astonishing! I suppose the refelections do lessen the overpowering height thingey if you live there. But mainly they make for fantastic Tarapics!

What I like about your hotel view shots is the fact that I don't actually recognize that part of Chicago. I know that this is a Chicago shot, but it has a different feel to it. I especially luv the colors and reflections and that nice verticalness this has. Is 'verticalness' a word? Well, it is now. I really like the richness of your reflection shots. They're always so layered and textured and I get the impression I'm looking at the movement of oil film on water, like the kind Stanley Kubrick photographed when he was doing the whole incomprehensible ending of 2001: A Space Odyssey. That's a good thing, ya know, since I figured out the ending, once I spotted the aliens. Yep, the aliens are in there...only not in a literal sense.

I was misoriented upon looking at this photo...that's the neat thing about reflection shots. I looked at this building 10-12 times a day out our window for four days and I misread where you took this picture from! Fascinating photo from the parallel vertical and horizontal lines, to our room light glowing like a flying saucer in the center. So much to see, so much to enjoy.

I just love photos of these shiny, reflective buildings! So many wonderful abstracts seem to present themselves - and you have definitely taken advantage of that here! Super photo, Tara!

What a brilliant reflection! I can imagine you sitting and just watching it change all day... I hope you didn't, though!

I love Andrea's word. We finally have one to describe your unique vision - Tarapics! I know what you mean about the changing image. I really like the wavy abstract reflections in this image.
