Description
Just across the hotel I took a shot at for Halloween there's the pedestal of a Belle Epoque lamp post. It borders with the Renaissance bastion, and the corner apparently hosts a lizards' den. Here there are a number of generations, mom, dad, granny and grandaddy, and posibly some teenager lizards, all bathing in the last Indian summer sun. After that, a week of heavy rain, which is still going on.
Thanks for your kind comments.

The family that sticks together ;) BTW we call these little Lizards - Skinks! (With close to 1300 species, Skinks are the largest family of lizards in the world. There are 389 species of skink in Australia alone) BB

I love them. They are friendly and cute. Of course, I'd change my song if they were the size of Komodo dragons or Godzilla, but here they are cute. :) Superb shot.

Not exactly something one expects to see from reptiles. That they would be so sociable is interesting. Though, small lizards do tend to be this way perhaps as a defense mechanism. It is wonderful to see all these little fellows though.

Lizards are appealing creatures for so many reasons and to see many of them together is just amazing! I really like the warm stone colors and the various lizard shapes. Lizards have the most interesting hips. I like lizard hips a lot! I'm strange like that, you know.

the life of a lizard, warmth, bugs, sunning yourselves... then hibernation....

What a lot of lovely lizards! I like the one going down with his tail almost perpendicular to his body, and the one in a tight curve. Excellent capture!
