Description
This is one of the reasons that I love the autumn so much. The wonderful colors.
The shingle isnt at all over yet. Still have to take painkillers to get any sleep at night, but I will be ok.

I hope your shingles vanish soon: the only shingles I like are those on a roof!!! Now, as for this shot! WOW! At first I thought it was a Helle-Painting, because this has such a painted quality to it. I think it's because this is an excellent subject for a painting, with those colors and leaf-shapes. So maybe it's wishful thinking on my part? I think that little splash of brilliant, rich, red is perfectly seen! You have a genius eye to spot that and give it such a nice spot in the composition. And yeah, I agree, this is one of the reasons why I like autumn also...it almost compensates for all of the woodlice going to sleep!

Beautiful composition and colors! I love the expanse of clear fence almost disappearing under the leaves. There is a wonderful sense of lushness in the wealth of leaves cascading over the fence, and in the dense undergrowth further back. Nature is giving a brave hurrah, as winter approaches! There is also a gentle refinement in the way that the fence and orange leaves stand out as simple shapes against the more uniform colors of the greenery. It reminds me of Japanese art. Excellent capture!
