The world’s mythologies are a treasure trove of secrets woven out of the events of the past, passed down and altered over time. Names change. Genders change. Their stories are quite human. The things that happen to them are human-like…they simply take place in different realms. They are the tales that were told around campfires, on holy-days and in ancient texts. I like to capture some of their spirit in my art, if I can.
SRG or Sidhe Rose Graphics brings you beings from the realm of fantasy: faerie-folk, warriors of old, vampires, werewolves and other shape-shifters, angels, demons, witches, and mages both dark and light. We specialize in them! Of course, they can appear as perfectly normal everyday people, if you like. It's up to you. They will be coming soon to the Renderosity Market Place, so stay tuned!

Enjoy! And thank you for taking the time to look.

Angus expected Gwidion early the next morning. Moira told him he was coming. Like Moira he had jet-black hair and strange eyes. His eyes weren't red but a pale blue-grey - and a slightly mad twinkle. Neither were his teeth pointy like Moira's. Angus had heard about the fey most all his life but until now had never actually met any or seen one, so he'd no idea what they were supposed to look like. "Ya must be Angus!" The fey came toward him with a big smile and his hand extended. "She described ya perfect. Glad ta meet ya, lad! Let's go o'er there ta the bench an 'ave a talk." "I coom 'ere fer two reasons - first ta give ya somethin' ta protect ya and second ta tell ya just what 'tis ya need protectin' from." Gwidion pulled an amulet from his pocket and laid it in Angus' hand. "Always keep this on ya, night an' day. Now, as fer what tis for...my sister would prob'ly like ta 'ave me 'ead fer tellin ya what I'm gonny tell ya but ya need ta know all this, Angus. Ya can' nae fight blind what ye don' nae understand." Gwidion then proceeded to tell him the whole sad story of Moira, Ivor - the one who turned her, and Mog. "We used ta 'ave clan wars an' we'd capture each other fer slaves. Mog an 'is sister were slaves ta our clan. Then the lairds and ladies o' the clans reached an accord an' all the slaves were released. Part o' the accord. "Mog then went off an 'e found a man called the Wolf King - one Connor Madath-Alluith. Connor was a very powerful mage. He took Mog under 'is wing an taught 'im all 'e knew. Now Connor could only be killed a certain way an Mog discovered that secret unbeknownst ta Connor. Then - again unbeknownst ta Connor, Mog betrayed Connor to another mage - Duncan Mac Bran. Duncan slew Connor. Duncan stole all Connor's powers when 'e slew 'im. Mog in turn slew Duncan an stole both their souls an powers. Duncan di' nae realize that by stealin' the soul an powers o' Connor 'e became vulnerable ta the same weakness Connor was victim to. Mog is, as well...but 'e don' nae know I ken all this. The Shade o' Connor thinks Mog avenged 'im on Duncan but 'course thet aint the case. Mog was greedy fer e'en more power so 'e purposely went an' found a vampire ta turn 'im. "Meanwhile, this Ivor came round an took a fancy ta Moira - only Ivor was a vampire. We di' nae know this until too late. 'E knew enough magic ta cloak that fact from us all back then. 'E then turned Moira ta a vampire. When Mog returned, 'e slew Ivor outta sheer jealousy. 'E wanted 'er fer 'imsel, ya see. Trust me when I tell ya, Moira don' nae want nothin' ta do wi' Mog cos 'e's purely evil. I think 'tis why she fights so 'ard gainst what she is...cos o' Mog. Mog slayin' Ivor was tha only good thing 'e ever done, far as we're concerned. An' now there's you, lad. Mog sees ya as competition, tho' the competition's only in 'is 'ead." Gwidion paused here and looked Angus in the eye. "Soo, knowin' all this now...do ya still love 'er?" Angus looked at Gwidion as if that were the silliest question in all the world. "'Course I do! Poor lass. Occhhh! Now I ken why she's like she is. That's a terrible story!! Soo sad." "I work all the time ta try an find a way ta bring 'er back to us. Our family's not without its own might, Angus. Now Mog won't coom at ya imsel but 'e might set 'is sister on ye." Gwidion described Damara to Angus. "She can change 'er form though. She's an evil witch. So, ya keep that amulet wi' ye always. It won't allow 'er ta glamour ya or harm ya in any way. Ya got that?" "Aye." "Wi' any luck an' yer help Angus, we'll rid this land o' those two, but ya got ta be strong in yer will an' believe it'll all work out in the end. Now, I'm gonny leave ya wi' a wee friend o' mine. She won't be no trouble an' ya won't see 'er most o' the time." Gwidion looked up into the tree beside them and crooked his finger. Down from the upper branches flew a small purple dragon. "Angus, meet Sheela. Sheela tis yer new master, Angus. Ya remember what I told ya?" The little dragon nodded and jumped up onto the bench between them. "She do' nae look like mooch but she'll keep ya safe. Now I must go. Been a pleasure an' I'll keep in touch," Gwidion winked and disappeared in a puff of smoke. Gwidion knew Mog was watching them - Mog disguised as him and not very well! Mog realizes Gwidion is chasing him now. Mog is too busy looking behind him to realize that Gwidion is now in front of him and Mog's about to get zapped good with his own sort of energy. “Ever’one leaves me,” Angus sighed. “Poof they’re gone! At least ya look like yer settlin’ in, Sheela. Wonder why ‘e left so sudden!

I like the Gwidion Character, especially on the pixture on the left. He is so well posed and his expression really wicked! Well done, dear Rayvn!

Agree with Odile that the picture on the left is amazing - in the same vien as the one with Gwidion and his sister. Not only is he a great character you have made him to be an incredibly handsome fae. The way the two men are shown is a perfect bit of body language for a friendly and open discussion between men. My only quip is that the second last paragraph seems a bit rushed and it is confusing. It almost sounds like the whole conversation was really about Mog being Gwidion in disguise and it was then Mog talking to Angus - which I am sure is not the case.

Another great chapter to the story. The last few lines are a bit incomplete, but I get what's going on - Gwidion catches Mog, disguised as Gwidion, spying on Gwidion and Angus and when Mog tries to get away, Gwidion zaps him. I believe that's right. The images are fantastic and the layout follows the flow of the story great. Excellent poses and Mog's spinning head is really something. Awesome work.
