Description

Captured 8/3/11, on my third visit to the beautiful Aquarium of the Pacific in beautiful Long Beach, California. Most ZOOM worthy. Not as tasty as drive-in restaurant food, but what the heck. I still can't believe I did this without a tripod. Photo #1 suggests a certain sexual connotation, that is, if you get my drift. Photo #3 looks like a double exposure because it was moving, just like all the other jellies, and I wasn't fortunate enough to freeze capture it like its kinfolk. SEA JELLIES are 90 percent water and have no brain, eyes, heart, or bones. Despite their simple design, the Aquarium's sea jellies require a complex environment to thrive. Round tanks called kreisels are designed to keep water flowing in a circle so the animals do not become caught on the sides of the exhibit. The jellies are monitored daily and are fed brine shrimp. Pozegnanie, thankx for stopping by, and for any and all favs and laudatory comments.

These are so cool, Harry! So hard to capture these nonstop swimmers, you did a marvelous job. I can sit and watch these for hours. Well done!
