A little creation for Monica (mgtcs is her Renderosity handle). Monica is a regular of my gallery who always has a kind word to say. She also has created one of the most vibrant and colourful galleries on this sight with works that never fail to enchant. And like me, Monica is an MSc, though mine is in Physics and not Criminal Psychology. But we who wear the hoods of sky must stick together. So Monica I hope this gesture adds a little plus to your weekend. Cheers! This Poser 7 rendering features the lovely Vivian for V3 (yes, I still use Victoria 3) by mari_e17. Vivian was about to embark upon some late afternoon appointments when something just happen to catch her eye.
Some Technical Details
Once again, lighting was accomplished with just two light sources. A single infinite 'Sun' light using ray traced shadows (blur radius 0.2 and bias 0.8) set to 70% intensity and a yellowish colour (RGB: 1.000, 0.850, 0.650), shadow setting set to 0.9. This light was complimented with a single diffuse IBL light set to 100% intensity, a yellowish colour (RGB: 1.000, 0.950, 0.920) while filtered using the dirtTreeandSky.jpg IBL probe that comes with Poser 6. Diffuse lights normally do not apply shadows on their own by default and none were applied in this case. For most textures, my AO (Ambient Occlusion) nodes are set to 4 samples, 50in max. distance and 0.1in ray bias. However, to make skin a little more radiant, I reduced the impacts of shadows by lowering the AO max. distance to 10in. and a ray bias of 0.5in. White cloth textures also used a differing AO, of 50in max. distance and 0.5in ray bias. Finally, there are the Render Settings under Poser's Render menu. I use the Advanced settings panel as it provides greater controls. Raytrace bounce: 2 Irradiance caching: 90 Pixel samples: 6 Min. shading rate: 0.20 Post filter size: 2 Post filter type: sinc HDRI optimized output is set. No gamma correction

Wonderful POV. We can really see a scenic quality, a storytelling element, on this one. She is stepping out on the street ready to do something, though still sorting out the details in her mind. Her outfit and looks suggest someone who is strong-minded, ready to defy, if needed. I am truly flattered by this lovely dedi. I'll make it a point to make a note of your very gracious gesture at the next "hoods of the sky" meeting. ;-) P.S. Your comments on my work are far too kind. It must be your kind eyes and your kind soul.

Excellent image and dedication. I agree with Monica, that she seems to be strong-minded and decisive. I like her pose, drawing on her gloves, with an "Okay, let's get this done." gesture. Great POV and colors. I like the limited color scheme and the dark maroon of her outfit and lipstick.

This is right up Monica's alley and what a brilliant shot this is...okay, not exactly a photograph, but close enough. I love the POV and the glimpse of the environment from the most unexpected of angles. This is a brilliant piece of work. I'm particularly taken by the architecture; it reminds me of the stuff I saw while living in the Czech Republic: old stuff, Classical architecture, in a rather fast and furious sense of the term and you've captured that elegance, that sturdiness and that historically-rich atmosphere. Brilliant work. I like this immensely.
