I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/Â

Time is the fire in which we all burn, Soren said in Star Trek: Generations and I loved the delivery of that line. Honestly, it was a better movie than people say it is. Funny how that works. But anyway, I totally understand your time constraint matters as I'm dealing with much the same of late: lots of time to work but not much time to do anything else! Writing? What's that? Oh yeah, it's that stuff I did a long time ago. Though in all honesty, if I'm lucky, I'll be able to write a few pages tonight, as I have an idea. But all of that is just one massive digression. What I mean to say is that this is an amazingly gorgeous image. It has a wonderful sense of depth and I love the color. I always like blue nebula thingies: reflection nebulae, though I have recently learned of a rare yellow nebula. Nice. This image is superb.

Time (or lack of it) and work seem to be taking a toll on a lot of folks lately. I know sometimes I get discouraged when there is little time for creativity, and at times it does tend to put the muse to sleep. It will pass. The problem with my muse is that she NEVER seems to sleep! She's always awake, constantly chattering, and putting all kinds of ideas in what's left of my mind. Gotta get that girl some decaf.... But like Chip, I digress.... When you do find the time and inspiration, you never fail to just knock me right out of my chair with these amazing space-scapes! Brilliant work, Mike!

Pretty! I like the swirl around the central star. Excellent work. A least you have time to finish some art. Me, I'm focusing what little free time I have on writing.
