Description
What sorcery is this?
Captured 1/18/11, early in the morning, within the confines of my living room.
Entirely ZOOM worthy.
With sunlight streaming through the window above the stairwell, I defied the law of gravity by placing the table, along with the glass of water, at a circa 55-degree angle, without the glass falling over, hitting the floor and spilling its contents. An amazing feat! Yeah, I wish....just kidding, of course.
Anyway, there are tons of similar shots sitting in folders that I completely forgot about. Such is the onus of having endless photographs.
Farvel, thankx for looking in, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

OMG, now that you mention it, it does look like a pipe of sorts.

Wow, Harry, this is really cool; the light focusing through the glass, and the shadows from the print on it are great, and even more great is the "Dutch tilt" and colour pop...all in all a wonderful image, very well done!

Now you've really done it, Harry - you are a magician! ;) It's amazing how everybody can visualize something else, I for one thought, that the shadow looks similar to a carved totem-pole? my fantasy anyway! BB

Just like Jocko...when I saw the thumb, my first thought was of a pipe. Very creative Harry.

Funny stuff, ie, your "would be" scenario (of how you set up the shot). I believed you for a minute! But your angle is perfect, making this like an oriental design...how to explain...the shadow of the glass looks a bit like the carvings on Japanese swords; and the glass coming off it has the simplicity of Oriental design, esp against the pale beige/yellow beneath it. It's the simplicity of bold object & shadows that bring 'oriental' to my mind. Beautiful, and a fine choice to tilt it for the shot. Making art out of one's daily objects...fine stuff, Harry.
