Description

Captured 1/22/11, early in the morning, within strolling distance of my archetypical abode. Absolutely ZOOM worthy. December and January are the best months for long shadows, as depicted in this foto. I felt the holes in the shadow were beyond cool, which prompted me to shoot the scene. I have no clue as to the purpose of the perforated metal cylinder, several of which are randomly situated near street curbs around the city. MrsRatbag or mbz2662 usually know the purpose of these urban oddities. Arreviderci, thanks for stopping by, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

Well, I'm clueless about what these are for; they look like they serve to aerate something, maybe sewer lines? At any rate, they are quite wonderful as shadowmakers, kudos to you for spotting them! Fantastic capture, Harry!
