Description

Well, I finally crawled back into semi-productiveness and managed to get this one done! I have been very under the weather for the last while and between that and the comic taking up all my time, Poser was shelved for a bit. I have to say, it was fun getting back in the saddle! Since I had been at the conventions and surrounded by amazing comic art for the past bit, I guess I got inspired to do my own take on one of my favourites... the X-Men. Caught in the act of training in the Danger Room, the X-Men's highly advanced (and in Wolverine's case, highly addictive!) training facility that is able to simulate any situation that one can come up with. Here we see Colossus (centre), Kitty Pryde (aka Shadowcat on the far left), Wolverine, Psylocke (centre left), and Kurt Wagner (aka Nightcrawler in the top right) being put to the test. Looks like Kitty is just breezing through this one, able to phase through that big metal chomper! And don't forget to click on the image for bigger, X-goodness. :D PS. Many thanks to Fenric for making me the gauntlets for Colossus. It was very much appreciated!

I am sooo addicted to X-men... I dream of writing fan-story based on Storm and Wolverine...I'm also dreaming of my super bad computer which I'm close to buying so I can sit down and actually put together such a scene as this without having to resort to layering and multiple renders. Sorry to read you were sick. All kinds of stuff is going around, "Thank you Chem trail pilots!" Ugh... let me leave that for now. Anyway... nice to see you back and rolling out the good stuff. This looks GREAT - especially when you zoom in!

Unfortunately, it's not a texture - it's Magic Mirror chrome setting (a procedural set from here at Rendo) and then I hand painted on the grooves in Pshop. It's really the only way I know of how to get it done correctly, at the moment, as dealing with the seams on textures is kind of difficult. Trying to get it all "right" is extremely hard that way, whereas here, I can just paint what you see. One day I may try to get a displacement map done in Pshop over the M4 Displacement (as I used that here too). But I have so many projects, I haven't the foggiest when I'll get to it! lol Thanks for the kind comments, everyone.
