Andreas Sr. was bothered by his son's wish to take a ride in a Vette. He mentioned it to one of his buddies at work the next day. Before the day was out, Ken from accounting stopped by the shop where Andreas worked and told him he had an older Vette he would let Andreas take out with his son for a day. Andreas knew Ken only by site and was totally blown away by his generous offer. Ken was just a nice guy who didn't mind sharing his possessions, a bit of a rare kind of individual in this day and age. So they worked out the details and Ken let Andreas pick up his Vette at his apartment buildings the next Saturday. 'You two take good care of my baby!' he said as Andreas Sr. and Jr. got into his prize Vette. Ken said they could use the car for the day, but he needed it back by 5:00 pm. He had a date that night and wanted to pick her up in his fancy wheels. Ken happened to be sitting in the bar near his apartment building when he was the father and son driving back to his place. He came out to the curb. Upon seeing him there, Andreas Sr. pulled the car over to where he was standing. 'Thanks for the swell ride, Ken!' said young Andreas as they pulled up to the curb after the most joyful day of his young life that he could remember. Young Andreas had taken a liking to Ken after being introduced and Ken insited he call him by his first name. He and is Dad had taken the Vette out on the open road and had opened her up a few times! They found some winding mountain roads that put the suspension to the test the the car came though with flying colors. Father and son had a most perfect joy riding day from this shared experience. As they were walking back to their own car, Ken checked over the Vette just to make sure there weren't any new scratches of dings. He was pleased not to find any signs of abuse to his baby and signaled the 'OK' sign to Andreas Sr. Everyone was happy about this day, but most of all, Andreas Jr. He sure had a lot to tell his friends at school on Monday!
