My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I really like the glass and the design they have on the doors and the archway up above as well.... I do wonder what type of wood that is though? Maybe Oak.......... Great capture Hugs Susan

You found another nice one Tara! Doing door photos will eventually lead you into buying a tilt-shift lens...wonder how long you can hold out, LOL!

Fabulous! You may have caused me to have a re-awakened and unsatisfied keyhole fetish. Not that I can see one here, but I used to draw them a lot.

Wallace must be a photographic joy!

Not just the door but the brickwork holding it up; what a beautiful entry! I can imagine you took a LOT of shots in this town...

HEHE! Scarred you for life. :) Such a beautiful door and excellent shot too. :)

Very nice doorway! and great bit of info too!

Great shot - what character this door has.

The wood, brass and glass are all so Wallace, Oregon...but I really like the old brick. We tend to take brickwork for granted these days. Today it is just a facade. But the old brick masons made a showy art form out of a brick wall. This doorway and its surrounding masonary gives the building such unique character. Your composition makes such a fine presentation...reminiscent of all those beautiful doorways in Chicago. When do we go back to Wallace? ...we only walked about 4-5 blocks...there are a couple of dozen more:)
