Description

Several weeks ago my Wife and I took our Grandchildren for a walk down by the river. As we walked, my Grandson walked out in front of us and I captured Him as He crossed this bridge over the river. As I looked at this photo I thought of him moving into Boyhood as he crossed the river, for it was his 5th Birthday. He no longer was a toddler as He is now old enough to go to school. As I worry what the future holds for Him, I worry about all our youth and what legacy we leave for them. Thanks for stopping by.

Very thought provoking...you've captured him crossing over for sure. This could readily be in the atmosphere/mood category. The only good thing is every generation thinks the follow-on generations are going down hill with little chance of recovery...we're all still here;-)

This is a most touching image. :))))) It amazes me how fast my daughter grew up, and how fast my son is growing up. :))))) It is really something how fast time flies when having fun. :))))))) Most excellent capture. :))))) Thank you for sharing a part of your life. :)))))))) Carry A Smile In Your Heart :))))))

the bridge reminds me of the bridges we have over here in Wheatridge around 42 in betweet Kipling and youngsfield... They grow up so fast I have 4 grandkids and I'm still in my 40s.

Having started a family late in life I think about that everyday. Fantastic composition and the time of day is just right!

Perfect capture of your grandson becoming five, and another phase of growing up. I hope our future is as good for them as it was for us. They deserve it.

What a wonderful image! They grow up so fast. He'll be fine, you know. My grandfather thought my generation would all go to hell in a handbasket, but he's dead and we're all still here and doing fine. That's the way of the world. When your grandson is our age, he'll think his grandchildren will have a rough time of it too, and will tell his friends he's worried for them ...

This is a wonderful image Bob. I have recently become a great grandad and I too worry for the future. My native land is being taken over by foreigners who will in the end become the government and change our religion.

Such a beautiful photo, Bob. I love the mood, as I love the shadows from the railing of the bridge. So well seen is your grandson just at that point. And then your thoughts about the future for him, and for others of his age. Fortunately, kids are not worried about this themselves (I guess and hope).

A superb capture with wonderful clarity and your little grandson makes a great addition. It is always hard when they go to school as they seem to grow up so fast after that.
