Description

In late 1943, two P-51 Mustangs were diverted over the English coast to investigate an unknown radar contact. They reported sighting and closing on a strange aircraft. Their description of the looks and speed matched no known aircraft. They reported closing to within one mile of the craft. Then they disappeared. No wreckage was ever found and they were written off as lost on a "training accident." Thanks for looking and I appreciate all your comments.

Love the colors of the sky, they add to the mysterious atmosphere of the disappearance. I've always found the story of lost military planes off the Florida coast fascinating, too. Great image!

I've really enjoyed this entire series of renders, but this is my favorite because of The Foo Fighter. And the render is top notch, of course. Just a thought too ... Could The Foo Fighter sightings have been connected to the anti-gravity "Bell" experiments going on at the time? Fascinating stuff.
