Naru nearly made it to the Metro, while her mind was still occupied with the words of the detective. Yet even if she had paid more attention to her surroundings, she would never have noticed what was going to happen next. As if she had risen right from the shadows, a complete strange woman appeared in the middle of the street. In a street that was located in an area known for the strictest weekdays curfew. And today was Monday. The woman was armed. Naru graped for her bag while she never let the twin Tonfa-like weapons out of her sight. But she had not even reached her gun when her bag already slithered above the ground. Within mere seconds the woman managed to conquer the distance between them and was now kicking and punching, wielding her weapons with ultimate strength. Naru had good reflexes, but she could barely avoid her attacks that were raining down on her. No, this woman was no common street gangster. She was fast and precise...just like a pro. Panic began to rise in the young girl. She noticed dimly, that a heavy engine roared to live somewhere in the dark streets behind. For a moment she thought about screaming for help. But presumably that try would have been futile. And then, in a whirlwind of colors, a motorcycle darted through the sky, right from one of the roofs. The driver had leaped into the air before the raven colored bike even crashed to the floor. It was a strange sight and Naru needed more than a nano moment to catch herself again when the man came down right between her and Tonfa-Lady. The impact had held enough force to pull her hard to the ground. And even with her velocity, her opponent could not evade going down as well. But unlike Naru herself, she did not even stir afterwards. Naru gulped. The man had no mercy. He stood above the motionless figure and even without being able to see his eyes, the teenager knew, that he was staring a hole right into her soul. His sword glinted in the artificial light. Like an unspoken menace. Narus own gun was only inches away. And without thinking she jumped to the side and grabbed the cold metal handle. But her shoot did not hit home. The man moved with unbelievable agility that could not belong to a human being. "I will die now." she thought desperated and felt a paralysing numbness in her limbs."Why," she asked, "why do you want to kill me?" and she tried to catch a glimpse of his face. If she could only see his features, maybe then she would be able to get rid of the fear that held her captive. And to her utter surprise, the man grabbed his helmet. The loud rumble on the asphalt made her twitch and first she could not see anything. But then, her heart stopped and she could not breath which had nothing to do with the thick smog in the streets.
