„From all people in the world it has to be you who found me.“ she stated while scrambling on her feet again. She could not believe it and felt like crying. It was not real, it could not be real. She heard the sound of his Katana being sheated again. „I have, haven't I?“ He just stood there, with eyes like fire and even without him moving, he evoked the aura of a predator around him. It unnerved the teenager, but then he smiled and the moment was gone and he was just like her vivid memories. „How,“ she managed finally to ask „how have you made it? I mean we're in Tokyo II and I use fake names, fake Ids...everything fake.“ „Just like you've learned.“ he answered and Naru did not know whether it was pride in his voice or her own wishful thinking. „Anyway, I would love to say, that I had my eyes on you all the time but that would be a lie. Rachael,“ he motioned to the woman on the floor, „I followed her. And then I saw you, in trouble. Sorry about earlier, I must have startled you.“ „Forget about it.“ Naru dismissed, pretending to be more cool about it then she actually was. „I'm fine...“ she whispered and even without knowing whether it was decent or not, she rushed towards him. Her embrace was desperate. She clung to him, as if her life depended on the physical closeness and maybe this thought was not too far from the truth in the moment. It was comforting, no, far, far more than that. She felt things, she had not even believed to be able to feel anymore. There was love and relief , happiness and ache and most of all hope. „My god, where have you been? I thought I would never see you again.“ He sighted and finally stepped back a little. Without the heat radiating from his skin, the night air felt twice as cold. „I traveled a lot and haven't stayed long in the same place, for various reasons.“ „I can imagine that.“ Naru shuddered. „The Soshiki...“ But he cut her off. „Not yet, not here.“ His eyes drifted to the motionless figure „There might be more of them around. Better we hurry and leave. Do you have a safe place where we can talk without fearing anymore interruptions?“ She nodded. „My flat. It's on the other side of the town. Not pretty though, but safe.“ „I'll drive you there.“ he said and lifted his motorbike from the dark street. And Naru was relieved to see, that it was a newer model. The old ones would need more than two days, to repair itself. His had already repaired even the slightest damage on the ink black paint. But then, before she took his helmet, she grabbed his arm. „Wait, there is one thing, that can't wait. I just have to know now.“ She waited until she had all of his attention. „Eiji, you're the best friend of my father and maybe the last person that had seen him. That was fast, wasn't it? I already had everything ready I needed for this scene, so I just had to render. It is great to know, that some of you enjoy the story too, makes me grew some inches :D Poor Naru, still no dad, but at least she might get some help now...
