Description

The main hiking trail at Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area roughly parallels the scenic drive. Here and there spur trails branch off to specific destinations. This trail head begins a trail that splits soon with one trail leading to a strenous 4 mile hike up one of the mountains and another 2 mile trail leading to some natural water tanks (tinajas). I wasn't equiped for hiking on this visit but I'm going to pack hiking boots, hats and sunscreen so I can explore the tinajas trail this spring. Enjoy
