The light direction is not a perfect match, but I decided to let it go since the render took so long (a couple hours or more - because of the wings, I think). My quad-core CPU was running at 100% load on all 4 cores, and the core temperature was, for most of the render, 48°C (118°F) across all cores. I was watching it closely because I've already fried a couple of motherboards while rendering!

Just the light I find this very nice on her wings, and f.e. her legs. I see many lovely details in this image. Also the pose of this charming winged lady, how she is nimble on the beautiful blanket (the attitude). LOL on your motherboard. And your background picture is just fantastic here, Robert.

fave'd ... To me, she's a smartly-dressed and beautiful winged woman who's on her vacation and stretching her limbs, catching some of the "onshore flow" of the salt-laden air. I prefer to think of such realistic creations as winged folk who could be in (a variation on) this world, rather than anything supernatural. My quirk of many years, perhaps. The lighting wouldn't have occurred to me to be an issue if you hadn't mentioned it. My mind jumped to imagining that a beach bonfire was somewhere "off screen," in the direction of the viewer, and thus gave "fill" lighting to her, without its doing much for the sand around her.
