Description

This is a test. I was very honored to be asked to take Don's (London224) new USS Yorktown for a shakedown cruise. This is just a test render at low resolution. I'm currently running a higher rez render that I'll post, but I was impatient to show this beauty off. It's a Vue model for Vue6 and up. You can judge for yourselves the quality even at a low rez render. I haven't even had a chance to check it all out...tower, deck, guns, hangar deck...you have to see the detail to appreciate it and I'll be doing more renders. It's a big model, but it loaded up in Vue faster than I expected and is easy to move and pose. The model is grouped into major parts, so you can make certain sections invisible to the render or get rid of them to cut down on poly overhead for closeup shots. The detail is astounding and you can get an idea from the tower superstructure. You can check some details at Cornucopia3d.com for yourselves. When I saw this for the first time it totally blew me away...the more I see, the more I'm amazed. I'll have the hi rez up tomorrow I hope. USS Yorktown: Vue 6 and up. Very detailed and beautifully textured model by London224 F4f Wildcat: Digimation-Modelbank-Vanishing Point for Poser Pilot: Epici Enemy Soldier LW0R1 figure Vue6 Infinite, PS CS3

Even at Low rez the detail is outstanding and looking on Cornucopia3d it's as detailed as you claim. Grouping the model is also a great help. Just stunning, can't wait to see the finished render :)

WoW!!!! That is truly awsome, and I can't think of a better 'test pilot'.Can't overlook the brilliant seascape, the wake is really convincing...just an all round brilliant image, just haven't enough digits to put up for this 100% pure class. (time to look for a new hobby I think)....

Great work, the model is superb but the setup and the environment is excellent, too. I can't wait to see the hi-res version. Hope you will post it here ...
