Description

Sombrero II is the second planet of a solar system located in the Orion Nebula. Being a cold and dry planet, it's not a very inviting place for colonists to settle down. You won't find intelligent life on it nowadays, but once there must have been either a population or maybe just visitors who built these Sombrero-like, ornamented stone constructs spread over the whole planet. Bryce7Pro, rendered in regular mode. One Bryce Terrain with modified David Brinnen material. Stone objects modelled by me in Xfrog, with custom material. Sky: DTE & IBL Postwork in Photoshop: enhanced contrast + additional clouds painted in from a winter sky photo I just took yesterday. Thanks for looking and your kind comments / faves on my previous Bryce render. I'm just starting over with Bryce again so any constructive critics from other Brycers are more than welcome!

This reminds me of a place I've been through many times called 'Mexican Hat' which lies next to the San Juan river in southeastern Utah. Google it and you'll see. Fine work by you here.

These stones make wonderful silhouettes against the sky. Anyway I find them very artistic with their drawing. It looks cold there Susanne, but also great!

Ein sehr geheimnisvoller Planet. Die Sombreros sehen lustig aus. Wer die wohl errichtet hat? Schönes Bild Susanne (zunächst dachte ich ja es wäre eine Kombination aus Terragen und Mandelbulp ;))
