Description

This was the first time I had ever seen the sea from Japan, and I was blown away. I had seen Tokyo Bay and been to Yokohama but this was different: this was open and a beach! Okay, it was November and there were only a handful of people wandering around, but it was warm and I wanted to paddle. Unfortunately we never had the time if we wanted to see the temples and shrines. I hope you like it, and thanks for looking. Iain

WHAT!! all that way and no time for a paddle :-( well I hope there was an ice-cream van.Given the usual image of Japan as an overcrowded Metropolis, this is a pleasant oasis, though I bet it gets busy in the Summer....

The image is a bit off to be honest: some parts of Tokyo are very very busy during working hours but most of the other big cities are no worse than a British city on a weekday. And yes, I had an ice cream: green tea flavoured. Yum!
