UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Wow what a beautiful shot this is awesome the way the light seems to come through it.

Wonderful details in the whites, Bill!! A judge at my camera club in the 80's used to upset those members with zilch sense of humour by calling all flowers daffodils and all animals rabbits. I thought he was hilarious but not so some of the po-faced men! As in, on viewing a very complicated orchid bloom.."This daffodil is a little too fussy for my taste"! Or, about a terrific pic of a giraffe "My word this rabbit has a long neck!"

This would make a spectacular addition to anybody's portfolio, looks to me like 'virginal-white feathers' or remember Madonna's hit 'like a virgin' comes to mind? ... and now I am wondering whether it is a: Peony Rose Charles White? (Charles White is a very rare classic full white Peony) superb find, Bill BB

You have captured the essence of its beauty very well Bill, it's a lovely shot. BTW lifeboats are still used in the UK and the one I posted is active.

Gorgeous form, and I love the light! It's always a pleasure to see you doing flowers. You don't have to know this is a peony in order to enjoy it. :) Beautiful image!

I would have thought it was a peony, but not a daffodil? But it is hard to see, when we dont see the leaves too, but it is mighty lovely.

A very beautiful clear capture of this lovely flower. I too think it is a peony though it is the wrong time of year for you to have one in flower as mine are in full bloom down here.

White, white, nothing but white! Gorgeous macro of this unknown species, Bill, and I've never seen a bloom with the inside petals seemingly having been run through a paper shredder.

Well, aside from a few very common specimens, I'm not worth a hoot at identifying them. But I sure know a great photo of them - and this certainly falss into that category, Bill! Lovely range of whites, and the subtle splash of color in the center just pulls your eye right in! A great addition to your gallery, Bill!
