Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Wonderful capture, Bill

Black bridesmaids..unusual. I went through a period of wearing black to weddings in the late 60's, for so often it meant the death of the old relationships with friends. I think, thankfully, that men can't afford to be so jealous anymore..girls keep their pals and the boys can like it, or get lost! Never burned my bras, though.

I bet they would love a copy of this Bill. A super candid.

Superb capture, a new job for you Bill, wedding photographer :o) I am with Andrea, unusual for bridesmaids to be in black!!!

A really nice photo, Bill, but not a nice recommendation for the guy with that fancy camera. What's he up to? Looks like he's barging in. A real detractor. I've never seen bride's maids in black before. Makes me think of a funeral. When my brother got married, they wore purple with violet bouquets. The bride's maid to the far right looks as though she's expecting. It's also funny with the people wearing sun glasses whereas the others are not. Quite an interesting image which says a lot. Keep up the good work. :-)

I remember being there, well at that fountain and seeing so MANY wedding parties. I lost count, but I know there were at least 10; must be one of those local traditions~! ps to t rex--black is quite common these days for bridesmaids, don't ask me why, but it is. go figure!!

Gorgeous bride and couture gown! Lovely candid Bill!

Dramatic!!!! Black, normally means death etc doesn't it! But, sure looks good for a picture though! Good candid Bill, well done! Rob.

Terrific candid of this bride and her entourage! I love that dress. Wow. Such detail! All that black makes her stand out so beautifully ... is it any wonder black bridesmaid's dresses have become popular? They're a perfect foil for the bride. Catching this with the photographer pointing like that enhances the look. She IS the center of the universe in that moment! Very nicely caught. :*

Great capture of the bride and the entire group Hugs Susan~

Great shot Bill! You've captured quite a lot here: the 'professional' photographer eschewing the need for a camera strap, yet leaving it attached just waiting to teach himself a lesson; the bride standing out even more, having dressed her bridesmaids in black; the mix of sunglasses and no sunglasses, which the photographer may or may not even notice; and also the shot shows a particularly good-looking wedding group with women that would make any event look great even though a bit outshined by a stunning bride!

Great candid shot of the wedding shoot! I like the black bridesmaids, I had them myself last time around since I've never liked the insipid pastels that are the norm. It looks like they're all on the run, wonder what the rush is?

A really cool candid shot, Bill! There's a lot of fun things to look at here - love the photog directing traffic, so to speak.. And the bride really does look the part of a princess.

Okay, the bride is the easy one to spot - who is the groom? This is a super candid, Bill, lots of action - were they posing for a reflectiion in "The Bean"!? Clive

Damn! I could write a whole page on this..I see at least four stories. For now, a brilliant candid piece, the bride certainly looks happy and I'd assume the guy with the advancing forehead is the groom.Guy in shades..either best man or Secret Service wannabe....neat post, cheers Bill.

This is marvelous. Did you notice that all of the males in the picture (except for the photographer) have the same chin/neck structure? It would seem that maleness among this species isn't expressed in a purely sartorial way, but in a bio-physical way as well...even bearded, as one of them seems to be, the neck/chin junction is the same. The photographer looks busy! As I remember, he was quite busy! He moved around more than me! It was as if he was trying to capture woodlice or something! I have very few shots of this party as I was incredibly hypnotized by the reflections in Da Bean. This is excellent; I love the clarity. As I'm re-reimersing myself in Frank Herbert's Dune universe (I'm avoid the McDune novels by his son and that other guy!) the bridesmaids in black make me think of the Bene Gesserit sisterhood, and I wonder if the woman in sunglasses has an innate ability to use The Voice. Hmmm...I wonder if there's a story in there somewhere! It's also somewhat refreshing to see bridesmaids (or Bene Gesserit sisters?) wearing black at a wedding occasion; I wonder at the reason for that? OK, from what I know of wedding customs in the west, White isn't as traditional as it seems, but in a society that lacks an ancient Egyptian perspective, I question (and applaud) the black. Wonderful shot.

It almost looks like she is surrounded by the secret service. Nice photo!
