Maybe I'm completely wrong, but these snake-like plants (or are they fauna?) seem to interact with the strange stone formations on this planet. Some of the stones' humps look like ears to me and seem to listen to the "plants" which are constantly in motion. Their shiny blueish heads use to glow in the dark (well you can't see it now since this is a daytime shot). :) Bryce7Pro, rendered in superfine mode.
