Description
Still playing with function-based displacements. A total of six different ones including a warp and the fake stones went into the terrain, while the large moon has only two. Both are of my own contrivance in assembly, but rely heavily upon the original works of others.
The mountainous features are derived from a combined voronoi-based cracks node file from an unknown source that FrankB (??? I think) had converted into canyons. The cuts and grooves came from cyphyr’s Monterrey Canyon set up as did the main features on the moon. Plus I stuck a modified dandelO’s 10m Cracks clip in. To them all go my deepest thanks. I would have never been able to create any of that on my own. I did make the star field myself, though.
I think it is important to note the smaller details such as those on the ridge in the foreground: it seems no job is too big or too small for TG2 to handle.
Thanks for looking in!

looking very, very good Rich. I'll bet in the future, we'll see real images like this made by robotic devices in space. I also use many files from the Planetside site made by the many talented folks over there. Nothing wrong with this ...remember, we learned to talk using a dictionary made by someone else.

I like it a lot!

Outstanding, Rich! Question: how did you go about making that star field? I really like it...

Awesome work.

Super cool!! With all that displacement and functions would the color shaders work differently? The land could use a bit more color variation...still this is awesome!
