As I looked at the title for this foto, I realize it could have other, slightly strange meanings. But well, that's ok, cuz I can be slightly strange once in a while.
When I saw that today is your birthday, Corey, I went right away to find something to post for you. I keep a few shots right on my desktop that I've already done whatever needed doing to. This one jumped right out at me, and I knew it was YOURS. It's the slough on Humboldt Bay in Eureka, with a rather different view. That's how your fotos are~~~~the same old stuff we see every day, but with a very different perspective. Compelling, and impossible to ignore---right on!!

Yep, this is a Corey sort of shot, especially with that through the fence POV. The color is really surprising too. It's lively and not gray at all: I always expect gray or that grotty beige color that's so common with bridges. Here, there's a nice blue tone and some nice golds. The light is really fantastic and the fence links give this a nice mosaic feel. I like the plant growth too, it looks so inviting! This is super. I like it a LOT.

That's okay, I am slightly strange...well, probably slightly more than slightly...I really like this a lot! I particularly like the clarity of the rest of the shot through the blur of the foreground. Thanks so much for this post and the birthday wishes!
