...departing by ferry from Mukilteo, WA for Whidbey Island, WA yesterday afternoon...
...couldn't stay in the car with light like this:)
...and thanks to our hosts at our destination, the cookie decorating, the hors d'oeuvres, the wine and the company couldn't have been better:)

Beautiful morning light giving so many nuances of color to water and on land objects. Unusual housing on stilts, not quite what I'd feel comfortable living in (shake and bake territory... rim of fire...). The water is really interesting. Thanks for posting this! Keep up the good work! :-)

The water! My goodness. It's just perfect, isn't it? I don't think the surface ever gets much better than that. Wonderfully reflective and smooth. The tide must have been just at the turn. Gorgeous!

That water is magical! I love the way it shimmers, shimmies, and shines! The rich, varied shades of blue really draw me into this, and then there are those pilings and pillars and nice repeated shapes. How could you not photograph this!? I like this quite a heckuva lot!
