Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Well done! You are right...could be in a Japanese garden somewhere rather than on the shoreline of Lake Tahoe. Beautiful reflections and the clarity of the water is sumptious:) I imagine some glacier left these rocks eons ago...and they've been waiting for you ever since:)

Beautiful colours. It does look like a Japanese garden.

This is amazing and leave it to you to spot something like this...you pull some of the most amazing stuff out of your camera! Well...actually you see it and catch it with your camera. I love those rocks...they look almost like something alive. For some reason I thought of something similar to a friendly hippo...I think it's the rock color and general shape. This is truly gorgeous!

Wonderful shot - Its simplicity is its strength. Well done.

Cool reflections in this unpostworked shot of the huge stones, Missy Marilyn. As for zen, I always thought it was a philosophy, and not some stones in a lake.

This is a great picture. The depth of the photo make me want to touch the water.
