Description

Happy New Year! I made as I watched the PhilW tutorial on Making a fantasy image in the Carrara Training. I finally took the plunge and got a Wacom tablet and 16 gigs of ram. 16 gigs vs 8 I didn't notice a big change in render times or even machine performance when moving around in 3d apps, but my computer works much better when I have LARGE scenes open and surf the internet and have 4 or five programs open at the same time. I also opened an old file that was HUGE and I could move it around a little better. So I am hoping to be able to have more figures in my scenes this year. The tablet is awesome. I used it in Carrara to build this scene. The only problem is when I try to move the camera around it can freak out and jump away. So I actually did fine tuning of the camera with a mouse. Tried the tablet in Vue 10 and got some weird camera action with the cameras as well. But for drawing and painting it is unbelievable. I am hoping to do more postwork this year.
